Sundays
There is a service at Capel Heol-galed Salem Chapel every Sunday at 2pm, apart from the 2nd Sunday in the month when the congregation worships at Capel Isaac.
Sioe Salem Show
The annual Salem Show takes place every year on August Bank Holiday Saturday, from 3pm, in the Memorial Hall and the adjacent community field.

Burns Night Fundraiser! Gallstone Cowboys & Pop-up Pub
Join us on Saturday 25th January for a Burns Night fundraiser to help us bring improved facilities (including a permanent licensed cafe bar!) to Salem Memorial Hall. We’re over the moon that local band, the Gallstone Cowboys, will be riding on over from Llansadwrn to bring us good old fashioned Country & Western cheer in the depths of winter. And thank you too to our good friends at Cwmdu who are doing a pop-up pub for us! All welcome 💖

Join us at a fully bilingual community workshop to explore options to improve and extend the facilities offered at Salem Memorial Hall. This session is organised as part of our Welsh Government funded project and led by independent consultants Miller Research. We will look at the results of the community survey carried out in Autumn 2024, and explore options for the site.

The 2024 Salem Show will be held on Bank Holiday Saturday 24th August at 3pm at Salem Memorial Hall. Find out more and enter!
Held every August Bank Holiday Saturday for as long as we can remember, the Salem show is not to be missed. A proper old fashioned village show - with categories to enter your prize dahlias, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, craft and art sections, cookery - including Men Only baking prize - jams, preserves and photography. And for the non-gardeners? Tallest thistle, longest dock leaf - it’s yours for the taking!
Inside the hall the WI put on their famous afternoons teas, and outside there are stalls, a dog show and a hotly contested well-wanging competition.
